RE at Endeavour
Religious Education contributes to our learning at Endeavour Academy by provoking challenging questions about the meaning and purpose of life, beliefs about God, ultimate reality, issues of right and wrong and what it means to be human. RE provides you with the opportunity to learn about and from religions and worldviews in local, national and global contexts, to discover, explore and consider different answers to these questions.
Your learning journey begins right at the beginning of Foundation Stage where the doors open for you to develop a positive sense of yourself, and others, and to learn how to form positive and respectful relationships. You will use your imagination and curiosity to develop your appreciation of and wonder of the world in which you live.
As you move through the school you will have endless opportunities to develop your knowledge and understanding of religions and worldviews. You will have the opportunity to raise questions and begin to express your own views in response to the material you learn about and in response to questions about your ideas.
You will then go on to extend your knowledge and understanding of religions and worldviews in KS2. You will be encouraged to be curious and to ask increasingly challenging questions about religion, belief, values and human life. You should learn to express your own ideas in response to the material you engage with, identifying relevant information, selecting examples and giving reasons to support your ideas and views.
If RE is something you enjoy there are lots of job opportunities out there for you to consider. You may become an advice worker, charity fundraiser, counsellor, community development worker or even a negotiator!
