Pupil Premium
What is the Pupil Premium?
The Pupil Premium is an allocation of additional funding provided to schools to support specific groups of pupils who are vulnerable to possible under achievement. These include pupils who are entitled to free school meals, those looked after by the local authority and children of armed service personnel. The intended effect of this funding is to accelerate progress and raise attainment.
It is our responsibility Endeavour Academy to ensure that all children in our academy achieve their potential and in order to do so we seek to meet the individual needs of every child. It is for schools to decide how the Pupil Premium is spent, since they are best placed to assess what additional provision should be made for the individual pupils within their responsibility. Pupil Premium will be used and managed by us in school to enable us to tailor support for identified children in a range of ways appropriate to their needs.
Children in Reception and KS1 are automatically entitled to a free school meal; however, registering your child for free meals will entitle them to additional support with the cost of such things as school visits, school uniform, breakfast club and extra-curricular clubs, as well as raising additional funds for the school.
