Year 6 took part in Safe Squad on Monday 23rd September in the afternoon. During the session children were involved in 3 workshops. These were: digital safety, personal safety and community safety. The workshops gave the children clear messages about how to stay safe which they can take away with them on their journey to adulthood. During the sessions children were taught to: stay safe on the streets and the importance of saying no to peer pressure, how to do simple CPR and how to put someone in the recovery position, how to stay safe online and report any suspicious messages and how to stay safe at home and prevent fires. The children really enjoyed the day. They engaged well during the sessions and responded appropriately.
